I’m Nat Baker. My husband Tom and I have lived in Seabrook Orchards since February 2020. We rented on Dart Avenue to begin with but were limited with our community involvement owing to the arrival of the covid pandemic. In October 2021 we moved across the road and five doors down to own our own house on Dart Avenue.
I have worked in nature conservation for over 13 years, managing nature reserves and countryside for organisations such as the RSPB and National Trust. My journey has seen me move around and work across much of the south and east coasts of England. I now manage the RSPB’s nature reserves and commercial visitor operation in and around Exeter and further afield in south and north Devon.
In my spare time I’ll generally be outside as much as possible. My interests include mountain biking, tennis, running and being outside in nature. I also perpetually hope to revive my piano and French language skills, and I do love a good strategy board game or puzzle.
Tom and I run a drop off point for the Exeter Foodbank outside our front door and post into the Seabrook Orchards facebook group about what the monthly requests are. Many thanks to everyone who is able to donate, however much or little, frequently or infrequently. It all helps. Both Tom and I are pleased to be involved with the Seabrook Orchards Residents Group in varying capacitities and are enjoying getting to know our neighbours on the estate.
Say hi if you see us around!
