Ed Rashbrooke

Hi everyone,

I’m Ed Rashbrooke. My wife Julie and I have lived in Seabrook Orchards since around July 2017. We moved from Hook, Hampshire and decided this would be the start of a new chapter in our lives.

Our daughter Melanie lives in Newcastle Upon Tyne where she runs a theatre company, so we have a fairly south-west to north-east path to traverse.

I’m an ex- IT and management consultant, having worked in many European and Scandi countries, the USA (New York, West Coast, Silicon Valley etc), the middle east (Saudi, Egypt, Israel, Turkey etc.). My company worked for mainly larger organisations and governments, and I was involved in plenty of mega-projects.

Nowadays we are happily settled here in coastal Devon, and we both also help out with voluntary organisations such as Topsham Museum. I also assist with some audio-visual events at Matthews Hall and run various WordPress web sites for Topsham, as well as the ticketing via Eventbrite and some of the mailouts through Mailchimp.

Julie is also involved with Hospicecare. I joined in with the Seabrook Orchards Nature Group too, and have seen foxes, egrets, herons, a kingfisher and many birds of prey all along the Seabrook Corridor, which backs onto our house along Ferryman Way.

I joined SORG to be part of creating a pleasant environment and community here.

Oh yes, and I’m also the author of the well-known Ed Adams novels.

Like Nat says, say ‘Hi’ if you see me.
