Subject: Closing of Vernon Crescent / Fish Street link
To: Andrew Sails <rev.andrew.sails@gmail.com>

Thanks for the comments and responses we have had to our SORG mailing last Sunday.

Things have been moving fast this week with the closing of the Venon Close/Fish Street access route,

and we are aware of many comments and suggestions, together with significant anger.

SORG is continuing to address future options:

1. It seems unlikely that compulsory purchase or community purchase of the strip is financially viable at this time.

2.. We are exploring options for possible egress from Phase 2 which does not require the crossing of the ransom strip

3.  We are also looking at claims of miss-selling by Bloor, which could lead to a legal challenge.
We are aware of reported oral statements by Bloor sales staff promising access to the Persimmon estate:

does anyone have documentary evidence of such assurances?

4. If all else fails, we may need to look at a PR/Press campaign.

This would need to be carefully orchestrated and we would recommend holding this in reserve at this stage.

The SORG Exec Group will meet to review progress on all the above on Wed 15 Feb,

after which we hope to report further

Best wishes

Nat, Gordon, Jon, Annabel, Ed and Andrew
