Subject: Your invitation to share in this year’s SORG AGM on 29 June.
To: Andrew Sails <rev.andrew.sails@gmail.com>
Greetings to all those on the Seabrook Orchards Residents Group (SORG) mailing list.
This is advance notice of the SORG Annual General Meeting,
to be held on Thursday 29 June at Trinity School, Fish Street.
Do please put this important meeting in your diary and come along.
There will be wine and cheese on offer from 7 pm to 7.30 pm –
a chance for informal conversation with other Seabrook residents
The formal meeting will be from 8 pm until around 9 pm.
This will include reports and updates on key Seabrook issues,
such as the ransom strip, the power cable undergrounding, the M5 sound barrier,
and highways adoption. There will also be information on future plans,
including anticipated timescales for Phases 2b and 3, for Seabrook Square,
and for communal facilities in the link corridor between phase 1 and phase 2.
SORG seeks to represent residents in discussions over many of these issues,
and we are very keen to hear your views
on how you would like the development to progress.
Please come with your thoughts and questions.
In June, we will be doing a letterbox drop across the whole estate
in order to make sure all residents know about the AGM.
If you would be willing to deliver 30 or so leaflets on streets near you,
please reply to this email, and we will be delighted to put you on our list of distributors.
SORG has an executive group which works on behalf of the residents,
and we elect exec members at the AGM.
It looks like our executive will have an important and lively year ahead,
and we are keen to recruit one or two new members of the exec,
Would you be interested in joining the group for the coming year?
We’d be delighted to chat with you about what is involved:
please respond to this email if you would like to know more.
Hoping to hear from you
with best wishes
Andrew, Gordon, Nat, Ed, Jon and Annabel
